Social Entrepreneurs: 5 Tips to Secure Media...
I come prepared.
Don’t freak but you need a Media Kit. It’s not nearly as complicated as it’s made out to be. You’ll need at least one press release, which acts as an introduction to your company. Bios of key people in your organization, a fact sheet and/or line sheet depending on the type of company and copies of any press you’ve garnered thus far (blogs included). In addition you’ll need...

Community
My entire life I have wanted a community of strong, beautiful and gobal women. A group from various cultures who have much to share and teach from their homes as well as have the ability to recognize all women share being women.
Through CLOTH I have found this community. The women who are working with CLOTH are strong, beautiful, wise and so much more. They are mothers, wives and friends. I feel...

Whooooooza!
The past few months have been a whirlwind. So much has happened to Oona and I since we first started discussing the possibilities that would lead us to CLOTH. Truthfully, I knew Oona and I were capable of a lot but I still can’t believe we pulled it off. Along the way we had our first fight (a minor disagreement regarding the possibility of world peace, can you believe that?), met amazing...

FELA! I came across this clip today and wanted to share it with all of you. We absolutely adored FELA! The Musical, I hope it stays on Broadway for a long time and tours. If you’re in NYC, shame on you if you haven’t seen it ;) and for those of you planning to visit it’s a must see.

CLOTH, for the world by the world.
The Weight Of Sweetness
It hit me hard what we are up to when we take on CLOTH. You see, we aren’t just here to create products, to have fun, to own a business. We are here to transform the world, to make a difference, and leave others with the impact of our work; give them a piece of it to pass on in the world until it ends up in every corner of our space called earth, and beyond.
Though this starts in living...
8daysawk asked: Hey,
I wanted to take a minute to express my appreciation for this project. I think stories are really important; you eloquently expressed the power of understanding that the issue at hand is not knowing at all but rather not knowing the whole story together. I've been lucky enough to do some traveling during my college career so far too and i can honestly speak to that belief...

Buy Good. Do Good. Be Good.
CLOTH is a contemporary lifestyle brand that acknowledges a mass shift in human relations from observatory to interactive. We take design and lifestyle inspiration from various cultures, but respectfully include them in the process. CLOTH is produced by refugee and displaced women living in the United States, drawing from an untapped pool of millions of women. The producer’s story comes...

Candance and I are finally together after a year of not seeing each other. I am in continual awe of the beauty of friendships that are so tightly sewn together that a certain aspect of time never escapes through the seems. I saw her profile from a distance in the airport and immediately felt like I had seen her the week before.
In Chicago we are catching up on the time that did sneak through...
i am displaced.
It’s something I’ve always been aware of but as this project progresses and more conversations are had with family, friends and strangers…I become increasingly aware of the misconceptions we hold of refugees and displaced people. To get my point across I’d like to share a personal story.
I was displaced. Born in Wisconsin, I am and always have been a citizen of the United...
